Interview Nin9: "Disappealing" lessons from Blast Lisbon, 1V4 before Spirit and the future of The Huns

"Mongolia also has a lot of potential besides The Mongolz," the 26 -year -old player shared about the domestic context.
The Huns had the opportunity to launch the Tier 1 arena at the last minute after Atox was eliminated from the Open Lisbon Blast. The Mongolian team showed an impressive performance at higher rivals.
Despite losing the 0-2 opening against Spirit, Yesuntumur "Nin9" Gantulga had a spectacular Clutch Deagle phase, worthy of becoming one of the highlights at the beginning of the year. After that, they brought Falcons into extra time in a fascist defeat of star 0-2.
After the defeat against Danny's "Zonic" Sørensen team, Nin9 had an interview with HLTV to share about the memorable Clutch phase, experience at the Tier 1 first of the team and expectations for the future.
You lost 0-2 to Falcons and was eliminated from the tournament after two matches. However, the team had praiseworthy performances, as on Anubis before Spirit and today on Inferno before Falcons. Considering that the team with many young inexperienced players, just a last minute replacement for Atox without much preparation time, are you satisfied with what you have shown?
Honestly, I am not very satisfied with the results. We can win a map against Spirit and can even win Falcons 2-0. In Inferno, I had at least two rounds that I could decide myself. But in the end ... that's my fault. I will have to worry about it a few nights.
Playing and practicing with top teams must be a valuable experience for the whole team, especially young players, right?
Sure. This is their first tournament. Making mistakes is understandable. But they will have to get used to the pressure, at least to express themselves when necessary and contribute to the squad.
You are the most experienced player in the team, each competing for many top, both domestic and international teams. How do you evaluate the performance of your teammates?
My emotions are quite confused. Some players are better than I expected. But on the other hand, some members make basic errors in important clutch or round situations. It was uncomfortable and disappointing, especially when you lost a round and the lesson could not be drawn, because everyone should know it. But perhaps due to the pressure to confront the opponents is too strong, and they do not ignore such mistakes.
"It was so annoying and disappointing when losing to Round so basic that you didn't learn anything since."

Techno said on the wave that his team and his team were very close and practiced together many times. Do you exchange advice or support each other?
We are very close. We meet regularly and be friends in real life. But I personally do not ask for advice from them. If I asked, they would definitely help, but I was afraid that if I hear too much, I would think too much and be affected. So I did not ask. But perhaps some of my teammates talked to the players in the same position as their side.
You have a good performance in this tournament. You have a 1v4 clutch before Spirit, another 1V4 phase today, and a triple kill with AWP on Inferno. Are you surprised with your own form before the world's top rivals?
That makes me a lot more confident. I think every player should believe in himself and think that they can play on par with the best people. When I was here, that means I am at a good enough level. I don't think I am the best, but I always look forward to my own version.
In Asia, the level is not very high so I don't play much. I only play the EU Faceit Server with Ping more than 100, and you have to adjust the gameplay. You cannot hold the normal angle. When I came here, I had to get used to the low ping, the way to hold the corner and the peeking.
"Adjusting the way to hold the corner and peeking with low ping is my biggest challenge on the first day."

Mixing Clutch 1V4 on Dust2 is definitely one of the highlights of the year. When you think back, how do you feel?
I was very calm, because at that time the opponent had reached the map point, and we only had Deagle and Scout.
"Nothing to lose, right?"
That's right, nothing to lose. I plan to Peek CT with a Flash Flash but blind myself. After that, I thought, "Nothing to do, just Peek." I just tried to find every 1v1 situation, and it happened. When I lowered the third person, my teammates began to laugh. If you look at the camera, they are gagging in a smile. Round did not end, but after three perfect shots, I just thought: "Well, just peek the fourth guy."
The Mongolz has developed stably in the past year, participating in many big tournaments and defeating stronger teams, gradually rising to the world's top group. Do you think your team can do the same?
Sure. What Mongolz has done in the past few years has been inspired. I used to be a part of them from the beginning, and I was very proud. Every Mongolian player looks like a model.
But the problem is that sometimes the ego hinders young players. They may say, "Oh, if I hit it, there's no error," but in reality, it is not always like that. If they can control their ego and practice hard, I think Mongolia has a lot of potential besides The Mongolz.
"If they control the ego and work hard, I think Mongolia has a lot of potential besides The Mongolz."

What is The Huns's goal this year? How far do you think the team can go?
The most obvious goal is to win tickets to Major.
In this tournament, I just wanted to learn more, but finally a little disappointed because we did not draw many tactical lessons. Most are only personal issues. I want to be read by the opponent, want to see my setups are exploited, to be able to learn more.
Anyway, I will review the demo and improve. Our main goal is still Major.
