BLAST Fall Final 2024 EVP and Best Team titles
CS210/01 12:50

malbsMd receives his first career EVP title as m0NESY and ZywOo accelerate in the race for the top spot.

G2 have shown excellent form since signing Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa, giving them exactly what they needed in the form of a significant firepower boost.

That helped them push their limits and defeat Natus Vincere for the first time in 10 encounters to win the title at a major event.

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov has shown flashes of form, and he remains in the race for the Player of the Year title, competing fiercely with Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Danil "donk" Kryshkovets .

m0NESY's second MVP of 2024 came from his incredibly consistent form and stellar performance in the finals, where he won 6 clutch situations in 4 maps.

ZywOo only played three matches but showed top form and won the top EVP title. He especially stood out in the winning rounds with a kill per round win rate (KPRW) of 1.24 and only really dropped on one map, Dust2, in the semi-finals against G2.

This is his fourth EVP title of the year, and ZywOo has won six awards in the last seven events (just missing out on EWC).

The French shooter is famous for accelerating his form in the second half of the year and this year is no exception. m0NESY may have closed the gap thanks to the MVP title, but ZywOo is still close behind.

Nikola "NiKo" Kovač wasn't always statistically dominant, but his performance was impressive with multi-kills in decisive rounds and excellent map control to force The opponent must change tactics.

He also showed strong performance, with a great semi-final match (to the point of smashing the table during the match) and an excellent start in the first two maps of the final, nearly entering the race for MVP.

Helvijs "broky" Saukants hasn't won an EVP since the first EPL season of the year in May, but came back strong at Fall Final with the highest rating ever (1.32) at a major event.

Broky is a difficult player to evaluate, with his peek-happy style (reckless when picking on his opponent's cards) and the way he uses his AWP like a shotgun, sometimes making him unstable. However, when he is in top form, FaZe look as scary as they did at the beginning of the year.

His 29-14 K-D performance in the win over Natus Vincere on the first map on Inferno was a reminder of his ability to defeat the best team in the world on his own.

malbsMd almost won EVP at EWC and EPL Season 20, but this time, he got his first title after helping G2 win the championship trophy.

He has an average rating of 1.25 on G2's winning maps (1.29 in the playoffs) and consistently exceeds expectations despite playing in difficult positions.

The Guatemalan shooter shared that he feels "bored" when having to play positional roles, but he is gradually improving and has enough talent to change any round even in difficult circumstances. best.

This is only the second time he has played on the big stage; this will likely be the first of many EVP awards to come.

Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov is usually a stable foundation for Natus Vincere, helping their roster and main guns shine, but in Denmark, he led the way with a 1.40 rating before the finals.

Although his rating in the final was only 0.87, showing a return to harsh reality, this 19-year-old young gun almost won MVP for good reason.

He won 25-11 against G2 (besting m0NESY 10-3 in the series) in the group stage, but the real highlight was their 21-13 performance against FaZe, which featured a shocking 1v2.

Shahar "flameZ" Shushan is the last player on the list, but interestingly there isn't a huge gap between him and ZywOo at the beginning of the article; this is still a strong EVP.

FlameZ achieved a rating of 1.35, 1.59 impact points and dealt 118.5 damage per round won — numbers enough to win MVP individually.

However, his form collapsed in the decisive semi-final against G2, and Vitality had to face opponents who were not as strong, such as w0nderful, but flameZ won their fourth EVP title of the year and was certain will enter the top 20 for the first time in his career.

The best team

Thanks to G2 and Vitality using malbsMd and flameZ in non-strength roles, we created one of the most powerful offensive “Best Five” lineups ever.

Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski took on the IGL role after G2 topped the T-side round win rate rankings on their way to winning the trophy.

Notable titles

NAVI only had one final EVP, with pistol specialist Mihai "iM" Ivan (2.06 rating after 11 maps) and Justinas "jL" Lekavicius narrowly winning it, after four players shared credit for the action. present to the finals.

Lotan "Spinx" Giladi, for the second event in a row, also failed to win after falling behind flameZ and ZywOo in terms of consistency and form on stage.

donk still performed excellently in winning rounds (ADR 122.7 per winning round) but his performance was inconsistent, and after struggling against G2 on stage, his rating dropped to 1.04 when facing teams in the tournament. top 5 in the past 3 months.

Keith "NAF" Markovic played very well against Spirit and in the first map against Vitality, but like his team, his form declined later on.

MVPs and multiple EVP winners

The main headline is that m0NESY and ZywOo are slowly catching up to donk, and with Spirit likely absent from IEM Rio, mid-season number one contender donk will have to work hard at BLAST World Final and Shanghai Major if he wants to win the No. 1 Player title in his rookie year.
