Valve announces the final rankings ahead of the Shanghai Major RMRs

Valve just released the Regional Rankings update on October 15, which will be the final rankings before the Shanghai Major RMR tournaments organized by Perfect World take place. This update will determine the seeding and opening matches for RMR tournaments in Europe, Americas and Asia, according to Valve's additional rules for the Major. Perfect World is expected to confirm the seeding order and matches soon.

Natus Vincere are the number one seed in RMR Europe A region thanks to their consistency throughout the year, while G2's excellent form at BLAST Fall Final helped them climb Valve's rankings and win top seed at RMR B. FURIA's impressive performance in Rio helped them overtake Liquid to claim the top seed at RMR Americas, while The MongolZ claimed the top seed in the region Asia.

The RMRs will take place from November 11 to 24, starting with the Asia region and ending with the Europe region. RMR Europe and America will use the 16-team Swiss System format, the opening matches will be BO1 (Best of 1), while the qualifying and elimination matches will be BO3 (Best of 1). 3 - play 3 matches). The Asian region will use a double elimination format with 8 teams, with only the opening matches being BO1.

14 teams from RMR Europe, 7 teams from RMR Americas and 3 teams from RMR Asia will advance to the Major. Europe's top 8 teams will go straight into the Knockout phase, while the remaining teams will begin their journey from the Opening Phase.
