The French team Vitality has made a historical imprint in the Counter-Strike village when it became one of the three teams with the longest winning chain in the Lan tournament. After a convincing victory over Mouz at the Blast Open Lisbon 2025 final and two wins at Iem Melbourne, they raised the winning series to 18 matches, surpassing Luminosity (15) and leveled Faze's record (18).

Dominating the CS2 period
All 18 matches took place in the CS2 era, confirming the power of the current squad. Vitality has won three consecutive awards: Iem Katowice, ESL Pro League S21 and Blast Open Lisbon without losing any match.

ZYWOO, ROPZ and Flamez play a prominent role in the stable and diversified play of the team, helping Vitality outstanding on all maps.

New squad - new appearance
Vitality owns an international squad with:

Apex (captain)
ZYWOO (main Awper)
Mezii (pillar, prominent index)
Flamez (agile entry)
ROPZ (Rookie enhances clutch capabilities)

After the winter holiday, the team has drastically changed and achieved success immediately. They are the leading candidate for the Intel Grand Slam Season 5 championship.

As for the far away record
Despite the impressive 18 series, Vitality has not touched the "terrible" records:

Ninjas in Pyjamas: 60 matches (2012–2013)
Liquid: 23 matches (2019)
Faze vs Vitality: 18 matches
Astralis: 17 matches
G2: 16 matches

The next journey

Vitality will meet Team Falcons at Iem Melbourne. Despite the championship, the winning chain can only be lifted to 22 - not enough to exceed Liquid (23).

Vitality is currently a typical evidence for the development of the squad in CS2: Building an international squad, playing stably, and gradually affirming the legendary position.
