After the end of the Elimination Phase, the Perfect World Shanghai Major has determined its playoff layout. Defending champions Natus Vincere were unable to defend their title and were eliminated.

There are only eight teams left, of which seven are in the top 10 world rankings. Liquid is the only team not in this group.

The playoffs will begin on Thursday, with the first quarter-final match between The MongolZ and MOUZ. The Mongolian team is on a winning streak of 13 consecutive matches in the tournament and previously defeated MOUZ in the Elimination Stage.

Next is the match between Spirit and Liquid, where Danil "donk" Kryshkovets will try to maintain his top form with his previous impressive performance. The winner of this match will face the winner of The MongolZ vs. MOUZ.

In the other bracket, G2 will face HEROIC, the team that convincingly eliminated Natus Vincere from the tournament. G2 previously overcame FaZe in the group 2-1.

The final quarterfinal match will be a competition between Vitality and FaZe, when captain Finn "karrigan" Andersen and his teammates hope to create a surprise after a not very successful season.
