Liquid excellently won 2-1 in the Best-of-Three series.

Liquid secured a spot in the top eight at the Perfect World Shanghai Major with a 2-1 win over MIBR in the 2-1 bracket of the Qualifiers. Three consecutive wins after the opening defeat in the Best-of-One series against Natus Vincere helped the team led by Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken get through this round.

Meanwhile, MIBR has fallen into a dangerous situation after a 2-0 start in the Qualifiers, now only having one chance left in the 2-2 bracket.

The series started with the map Mirage, chosen by Liquid, but it seemed MIBR was not ready to enter the match yet. The Brazilian team won the first pistol round and the first gun round, but couldn't make up any more points after that, suffering a heavy 13-2 defeat.

Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak showed superiority from the beginning with a personal score of 11-1 after just the first few rounds, while Rafael "saffee" Costa had great difficulty with 7 defeats without any kills in the opening phase of the series.

MIBR started the Nuke map off to a strong start, taking a 4-0 lead on the T-side, but then dropped off scoring only scoring two more rounds in the half. However, this was enough for Liquid to be unable to maintain their strength after switching sides, allowing MIBR to successfully defend the map with a 13-10 victory.

On the decisive map Anubis, MIBR had a dream start by winning the pistol round on the T-side and gaining a 4-1 advantage after successfully counterattacking in the first gun round. However, their performance plummeted immediately after that. Liquid only allowed a single attack, ending the half 7-5 on the CT-side before completely dominating the T-side, winning 13-5.

Now, MIBR falls into the tough 2-2 bracket along with MOUZ, Natus Vincere and FaZe. Just two days ago, they were still at the peak of the 2-0 bracket, but now the situation is completely different when entering the final day of the group stage.
