Despite having to play with a reserve member, Wildcard stepped up just in time to earn a place in the semi-finals.

Stanislaw's squad had to come back from a loss on the map they chose.

Wildcard won the right to enter the play-off round after a surprising victory over M80. Although they started with a loss on map Dust2 (7-13), they regained their form and won the next two maps, Anubis. (August 13) and Vertigo (August 13). Thanks to that, Wildcard will face FlyQuest in the upcoming semi-finals.

Wildcard entered ESL Challenger Atlanta without the strongest squad, as their highest ranked player, Love "phzy" Smidebrant, was unable to attend due to visa issues. So, Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz, a 22-year-old Polish gamer who played for teams like HONORIS and Enterprise, was called up as a replacement. This has greatly reduced expectations for Wildcard's performance.

Their campaign in Atlanta got off to a rocky start with a loss to M80. Therefore, many people do not expect that Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's team will have more luck in the rematch with M80, when the play-off spot is at stake.

However, Wildcard surprised with an impressive victory, coming back to defeat a higher ranked opponent after stumbling on the Dust2 map. They had strong retakes on the Anubis map, with the advantage going to team T, while Tim "susp" Ångström had an excellent performance to lead the team. The fr3nd sub also performed outstandingly and supported susp well in the decisive victory on the Vertigo map.

M80 will certainly be extremely disappointed with their performance, especially after the recent series of impressive performances at the ESL Pro League and the fact that Wildcard played with an under-strength squad.

Ineffective offensive rounds held back M80's efforts throughout the series, and they struggled to make an individual impact in the final two maps. As a result, they missed the opportunity to build further on their promising performance of reaching the top 8 in the ESL Pro League.
