Mouz will once again find a way to make a mark in the Dota 2 arena with an international squad led by the champion Major three times - Seleri.
The Esports organization of Germany, Mouz, announced the official DOTA 2 squad on Friday (May 9), with the highlight of the former captain of Gainin Gladiators - Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp, who was announced as the captain four weeks ago.
Joining Seleri and Immortalfaith are two notable players from Southeast Asia: Abed Azel "Abed" Yusop and Nicholas "Zeal" Lim. Although Abed has played in her hometown for the past two years for Blacklist International and most recently Aurora Gaming, he is best known for his time in North America in Evil Geniuses from 2019 to 2022.
Meanwhile, Zeal, who started his career in Southeast Asia, spent most of his professional play in Chinese teams like LGD Gaming, Invictus Gaming and Yakult Brothers. The transfer to Mouz marked the first time both of these players competed in Europe - a place famous for its fierce competition.
Taking on the role of 4 in the Mouz lineup is Marcel "Ekki" Hołowienko, who used to play for Team Secret and recently left Avulus. Kyial "Kami" Tayirov, also known as Cutcutcut, will take on Mouz's Carry position. He has played for the past seven years in the Tier 2 system of Eastern Europe and teams like team Empire and Gambit Esports.
Closing the Mouz squad, coach Moza "Immortal.faith" Daniel, who accompanied Seleri when both were still in Gainin Gladiators in 2022.
Mouz completes the squad towards EWC and Ti 2025
Mouz, formerly known as Mousesports, has a turbulent relationship with Dota 2. Despite possessing a long history in the early period of professional DOTA 2, this organization has repeatedly dissolved and returned to this game, but so far has not achieved significant success.
This organization is more known for its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) squad, currently in the top 3 strongest teams in the world this year. After returning to Dota 2 in March, Mouz started building a promising squad for the remaining main game of Valve.
Initially, Mouz signed a contract with three players from Tickles team, including the current coach - Immortalfaith. Some other players, including Tal "Fly" Aizik, Thiago "thiolicor" Cordeiro and Tobias "Tobi" Buchner, are also tested. However, the unexpected play results made Mouz decide to restructure the entire squad around Seleri in early April, right after he broke up with Gainin Gladiators.
Hiện tại, khi không có giải đấu lớn nào được lên lịch cho MOUZ, con đường phía trước trở nên rõ ràng hơn. The team will aim to win the two largest DOTA 2 events of the year: Dota 2 tournament of Esports World Cup 2025 took place in July and The International 2025 in September.
