Midone's most recent appearance in Dota 2 is also as Stand-in for Tundra Esports at PGL Wallachia Season 2.
PGL Wallachia Season 4 closed the group stage with eight teams to win the right to playoff, while the remaining eight teams had to stop. The mighty representative of Western Europe, Tundra Esports, is one of the eight names to overcome the first round, winning three victories and a defeat on the journey to the playoff. However, it is worth noting that the team will use another offlaner at the next stage.
The veteran Malaysian player, Nai Zheng "Midone" Yeik, will be the replacement of Neta "33" Shapira in the Offlane position, according to the notice from the team on April 20. Previously, Midone took on the role of a temporary coach for the team, replacing David "Moonmoster" through the group stage. But in the Playoff round, Midone will officially return to play when 33 withdraws for not being disclosed.
This will be the first time Midone has returned to the professional Dota 2 after six months, with the latest appearance when he plays Tundra as a stand-in at PGL Wallachia season 2 in October 2024. He used to help the team in the third place in that tournament.
Tundra Esports's squad enters the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoff round including:
1. Remco "Crystallis" Arets
2. Bozhidar "bzm" bogdanov
3. Nai Zheng "Midone" Yeik (Stand-in)
4. Martin "Saksa" Sazdov
5. Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon
Looking back at Midone's dota 2 career
Midone may have been no longer at the peak of DOTA 2 in the last two years, with the final outstanding result of reaching the Top 8 at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 in Team Secret shirt. However, the heritage that he left was not being overlooked.
The Malaysian player is famous for his high -tech handling in Midlane, which helps him to impress as soon as he first entered the professional arena. In the first year, he played a strong team of Southeast Asia - Fnatic, where he and his teammates went to the fourth place at The International (TI) 2016.
However, his peak period came when he joined Team Secret at the end of 2017. The glorious period witnessed him and the team won two Major titles in 2019 at Chongqing Major and Disneyland Paris Major, along with once again ranked fourth in Ti that year.
Even so, Midone's performance began to go down since he joined OG during the Pandemic period by 2020. After that, he returned to his home country to build and compete with Team SMG from 2021 to 2023. However, that journey did not last long, and his latest appearance was in the Selet team shirt in late 2023, but only lasted two months.
Midone will once again put on the Tundra shirt in the coming days when the team continues the campaign at the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoff round
