Former professional CS2 Ilya "Ganginho" Chernichenko has been banned for three years. According to information from the Esports (ESIC) committee, Ganginho has made 390 betting on the results of the matches with the participation of the British team - Team Next Level.

ESIC has identified the link between betting and ganginho accounts, helping him to earn about 20,000 USD. Therefore, the former Sangal Esports player will be banned from playing until December 6, 2027. During this time, he will not be able to participate in any tournament of the ESIC system, whether as players, coaches, managers or commentators. The case was also transferred to the tournament and game publishers such as Valve and Riot Games, the parties could offer additional penalties.

We contacted Ganginho to collect your opinion about this decision. The former player asserted that he did not agree with the penalty from ESIC but did not intend to appeal.

"I disagree with ESIC's decision, but I have no appeal. Maybe a lawyer will solve this problem. My life has now turned a completely different direction, and this is not the right time. I have no intention of returning to CS."
