Big decline after a strong start in the first map and could not get up.

Cadian believes that Staehr still has great potential to develop

Astralis won the right to play the playoff round of PGL Cluj-Napoca on the last day of the Swiss round with a 2-0 victory over Big on Ancient (13-7) and Inferno (13-8).

The German team started excitedly on their Map Ancient map, leading 5-0 when attacking, but then completely overwhelming when Astralis controlled the game with 12 consecutive winks to reach the point of the score. decision. Three Round later, Casper "cadian" Møller and his teammates ended the map, gaining advantage when stepping to their map pick map.

When the match moved to Inferno, Astralis did not have many difficulties to win after the lead 8-1 when attacking (and 8-4 after the first half). After winning Force-Buy in the second Round when defending, the game was almost arranged. Big just removed three consecutive rooms but that was no longer meaningful.

The goal is not just in playoff

Astralis considered himself a team on the right track. They have not been able to compete with the top teams, but must take advantage of the opportunity at PGL Cluj-Napoca, where many big men do not participate.

"Our expectations are farther," Cadian responded to Richard Lewis in an interview after the match when asked whether Astralis had completed his goal or wanted to go deeper because of the absence of many strong teams.

“Now we will see who we meet in the next round. When the 3-2 team, the opponent may be a 3-0 or 3-1 team, so it depends on the draw results. But if you want to be considered an ambition to reach out when there is no top 3 of the world, you must set a higher goal. ”

Staehr still has great potential for development

Victor "staehr" Staehr is often considered as a silent factor contributing to Astralis - a person who always strives constantly. After an impressive performance against Big, especially on Inferno with 1.61 rating, Cadian praised Staehr but still believed that the 20 -year -old player could promote even more.

"He still has a lot of space to develop," Cadian shared on television. “He absorbed quickly and performed well when he understood the problem. But sometimes it is still stressful and too excited - it's his play style. Currently, we are still trying to adjust Staehr into a role that he has never held much before. But when there is calm in other areas on the map, he is very strong when defending, so we just need to support him more. ”

Overcome mistakes

Astralis is still in the stage of recognizing mistakes and sought to fix it, but Cadian thinks everything is on the right track.

“I don't think we are playing at the highest level, we are far away to reach the peak. But some things are gradually improving, ”he told HLTV after the victory over Saw on the second day of competition. "I think people are also evaluating us more negative than reality."

Astralis's captain believes that the team's mistakes can still be overcome and the teams that defeat them are not completely superior. "If we look at the match against Falcons and Pain ... We should have won Pain, and the match with Falcons can also argue," Cadian shared after winning tickets to the Playoff.

“But our common feeling is that most of the losses come from our mistakes. When we have such a feeling, we see the points that need to be improved next time. Not like: 'They shot better than us, they called for a better tactic than us'.
