Nexus, representing Romania, won the IESF World Championship 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They defeated Portugal's Rhyno team 2-0 in the final, thereby winning the championship trophy and most of the $240,000 prize pool.

Nexus' journey began with a loss to Kazakhstan – a team that featured Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov – but they have since regained form with wins over Ukraine (kONO), Tunisia, Latvia and America to advance to the quarterfinals.
Here, Nexus had an impressive series of matches, defeating 3 of the 5 highest ranked teams in the tournament, including ALTERNATE aTTaX, Metizport, and Rhyno to win the championship.
Adrian "XELLOW" Guță has consistently shined, with a 1.33 rating throughout the tournament, while his closest teammate scored 1.09. This victory brought Nexus a prize of 100,000 USD, equivalent to the amount Natus Vincere just received for winning IEM Rio.
