However, later due to many reasons to prepare for the season, both sides decided that Doran would not participate in the tournament. It is expected that T1 will prepare to go to France to attend the Red Bull League of Their Own event organized by RedBull.

Becker also confirmed that participating in the tournament is a wish of both this player.

It is known that League of Legends is also a subject at ASIAD and was held in the past two congresses in 2018 and 2022. However, for Korean players, this event has special meaning. If the Korean team can win the Gold Medal at ASIAD, the entire squad can be exempted from participating in Korea's mandatory military service. 

Previously in 2018, the Korean team only won the Silver Medal when losing to China 1-3.
