The League of Legends China, Jian "Uzi" Zihao, has become the first representative of LPL to be honored in Hall of Legends. In his emotional speech, he shared memories of his career, regret and love that did not change for the game.
"Having been honored in Hall of Legends is a great honor for me. This coincides with our victory memories in Paris in 2018. So this is a special day." - Uzi starts
Talking about the end of his career, Uzi admitted that he was distracted in a match - this became a worrying signal for him:
At that time, I realized - something had changed. I am no longer a player like before.
Uzi also frankly shared about his weaknesses:
In the past, I was very stubborn, lack of flexibility, and irritability when under pressure. But I tried to be better. And I'm still changing.
He paid special attention to the feeling of loss because he did not win the championship:
I have never lifted the Worlds trophy. This is one of my biggest regret. But the past cannot change. Instead, I can affect my future. I will have new matches ahead.
However, throughout all, love with the game still accompanies him:
Each ranking match, every moment when I told myself: "Must win", - all of that still bring joy to me. Maybe my youth is over, but I am still passionate about LOL.
He also admitted that the professional playground has forever changed him:
Whenever life posed a new challenge, I thought about my competition days. If I persevere a little more - maybe the front will be a breakthrough.
Finally, Uzi thanked all those who accompanied him on the way:
Thanks to my family, teammates, coaches, LOL and LPL for giving me the stage to fulfill my dream. If one of my matches inspired you - it was a great happiness for me.
Uzi was officially added to Hall of Legends on May 20, 2025, becoming the second player after Faker received this honor, and was the first representative of the Chinese LPL area to be awarded this title.
