Starladder officially announced the cancellation of the Starseries S19 tournament

Starladder has officially announced the cancellation of the StarSeries S19 tournament. This change was related to the expansion of the Major's format by Valve, which required a re-adjustment of the tournament schedule.

Cancellation Starseries S19
Starladder confirmed that Starseries S19 was canceled due to coincidence with the Austin Major award. Valve has increased the number of teams attending Major to 32 teams, extending the competition time and making the organization of Starladder tournament from May 26 to June 1 becomes not feasible.
Starladder said it was impossible to rearrange the schedule due to the dense schedule.

Details of Starseries S20
The only major event of Starladder in 2025 will be Starseries S20, which takes place from September 13 to 21 in Budapest, Hungary. The tournament will gather 16 teams to be determined through the regional qualifiers:
North America: The qualifying round will take place from July 15 to 21, with 8 teams participating, earning 1 spot in the tournament.
South America: The qualifying round will take place from July 15 to 21, with 8 teams participating, winning 1 place in the tournament.

Europe: The qualifying round will take place from August 12 to 17, with 16 teams participating, earning 2 spots in the tournament.


The invitation to the qualifying round will be distributed based on Valve's rankings, and all matches will be played according to the BO3 format. The invitation will start being sent from July 4.
