In the next highlight match of week 1 of the 2025 LCK Cup, GenG created a surprise when they won a devastating victory over defending champion Hanwha Life Esports. Accordingly, Ruler and his teammates increased the score between the Elder table and the Baron table to 4-1.

In game 1, GEN played first on the blue side and chose a very strong lineup on the top wing with Renekton - Nidalee, while HLE used the duo of shooters Corki - Caitlyn. In the first phase, HLE took the lead early with the first 2 kills, but GEN quickly regained it, even taking the lead after 14 minutes.

After that, the game was quite balanced until the 23rd minute, GEN won the fight in the top lane, took the Atakhan objective and took the lead. In the 28th minute, HLE attacked Baron but GEN counterattacked, created a clean sweep and pushed the top lane straight, destroying the HLE main house just 2 minutes later, taking a 1-0 lead.

In game 2, HLE switched to the blue side and used a very strong single-target attack formation, Vi - Aurora and marksman Tristana. Meanwhile, GEN selected generals to protect Ruler's Jinx. The two teams continuously "tit for tat" in the early stages, but GEN took the lead after 10 minutes when they continuously won battles and Ruler gained too many resources. 

Because the gunner was so strong, GEN fought very easily and increased the distance to 10,000 money in just 18 minutes. At 21 minutes, GEN won Atakhan and increased the kill count to 23. The huge advantage helped the reigning LCK runner-up go straight into the main house and end the match just 2 minutes later, setting the score 2- 0, and also won the 4th win for the Elder table.
