New competition for Starseries season 19 was officially announced

Starladder has announced a new schedule for the Starseries Prize in Season 19 of CS2. The online qualifiers of the tournament will take place from August 13 to 17, while the LAN finals will be held from September 18 to 21 in Budapest. The total prize value of the tournament will be 500,000 USD, according to the notice on the official communication channels of Starladder.

The LAN finals will be held in Budapest, Hungary, in one of the largest arenas in the city, which brings together the world's leading teams.
The tournament format consists of two stages: online qualifying and offline finals.
The online qualifier takes place in GSL format (the group stage of the winning branch-the losing branch), combined with the play-in round.
16 teams from the European region will participate and play a total of 24 BO3 matches (3 games) within 5 days.
The top 4 teams will win tickets to the final round, where they will encounter 4 teams invited directly from the Global VRS area.
A total of 8 teams will participate in the playoff round of Lan, taking place in the Double Elimination formula. All matches in this round will also be BO3.
Earlier, Starseries season 19 was scheduled to be held in late May 2025 but was postponed and scheduled by the Organizing Committee. The list of invited teams will be published later.
This will be Starladder's first tournament after nearly 6 years of absence, since Starseries & I-League CS: GO season 8 in October 2019, where Evil Geniuses won the championship after defeating Fnatic with a score of 2-0 in the final. In addition, Starladder will also be the organizer of Budapest Major 2025, which takes place from November 24 to December 14 this year.
