The last tournament of the year of the EMEA - LEC 2025 region - preparing to start to identify three representatives participating in the 2025 World Finals. Along with that, the organizers also announced a completely new form for the group stage.

LEC 2025 Summer will officially start on August 2 and also the last season of the year. Unlike 2023 and 2024, LEC teams will not need to play Season Finals to determine the World Championship. This season, the tournament also witnessed a big change when Rogue sold the competition at LEC for Natus Vincere.

Besides, the organizers also announced some noticeable changes compared to previous seasons. Specifically, 10 teams will be divided into two tables, each of 5 teams. The teams will compete in a circle one turn, 4 teams with the best achievement each group will win the right to the play-off round. All matches in the group stage will take place in the BO3 format.

Table A: Giantx, Karmine Corp, Mkoi, Natus Vincere, Team Vitality

Table B: Fnatic, G2 Esports, SK Gaming, Team BDS, Team Heretics

After the group stage, 8 teams will enter the play-off round and play in the formula of the winning branch-the branch lost. The top two teams each group will start the play-off round in the Thang branch. Meanwhile, the 3 and 4 rankings will play in the losing branch and are forced to win if they do not want to be eliminated from the tournament. All matches in the play-off round will take place in the Bo5 format.

Finally, the three farthest teams in the play-off round will become three representatives of the LEC area attending the 2025 World Finals. All three teams will be specially in the Swiss round without having to play the play-in round as previous years.
