Chr1zn: "Win here is great, but I will lie if I say I don't look at the VRS point every time you win."

The Danish captain is aware that a good result at Major will be a great pedal for OG in the fall season.

Christoffer's OG team "chr1zn" Storgaard has easily surpassed Complexity, Typo and NRG to win tickets to the second round of Blast.tv Austin Major. The young captain said that the team has only accomplished the expectation from them.

"We always consider ourselves one of the teams worthy of going on," Chr1zn shared with HLTV after the victory over NRG.

This is a young squad, viewing this tournament as a learning experience - because there are three members to attend Major for the first time. They have now focused on the second round, where they may have to encounter big names like Faze or Falcons.

You have passed the first round with a score of 3-1. How is your feelings about this achievement?
Of course it is great. I am very happy that the team can overcome such a way. I think we played a very solid CS style, even though there was a bit of stumbling before the B8. But even in that match, we knew where we were wrong, so it wasn't so bad. I am really happy.

Does the overwhelming victory in the Battle of Bo3 help the team more confident before entering the second round?
Sure. We always consider ourselves a capable team. But winning this way brings a lot of confidence for the upcoming round 2, and the overall spirit of the team.

This is the first time three members attend Major, and also the first orchid of the year. Is the feeling of playing in Lan pressure?
So far, I don't feel much pressure. We all understand that this is the first time, so mostly learn and experience. As the first Lan of the year - I have never participated in many Lan - but it feels great, good setup, everything is fine.

"I always say that age should not be a factor to evaluate in the teams I used to play."

You are one of the youngest IGLs today. Is there a young squad that helps you feel more comfortable?
As a young IGL, I don't think much about that. I always say that age is not important - we are all teammates. When people know me, they no longer see the age gap is a problem anymore.

The important thing is the compatibility and goodness between us. That's what we have built, and now everything is working very well.

Usually, young people choose to be captain. Why did you choose this path?
I always want to be the controller, the decision. Right from the beginning, I played with people of the same age - but as you said, not many people want to be IGL - so I take power and develop it throughout my career, and now it's here.

"I always want to control and be the leader."

At the beginning of the year, you said you want to reach the top 15 of the world. Do you see this Major as a great opportunity to climb VRS?
Sure. Of course, winning in Major is a great thing, but it will be a lie if I say I don't watch the VRS point every time the team won - it is very important. We have not had many LAN battles, so this result will help a lot for the ranking.

Round 2 will have very strong opponents. What do you expect, and what is your goal?
I think the team needs to approach each match. Passing the first round is what we have expected. Now just focus on each match and try your best.
