At the biggest game-related award, The Game Award 2024, Esports appeared in 3 categories. At the recent awards ceremony, T1 completely dominated the Esports disciplines including Esports Player of the Year (Faker) and Esports Team of the Year.

The Game Award 2024 was held at Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, USA on December 13 with many categories. This is the 11th time the event has been held, after the first time in 2014. This year, the event was attended by many famous artists such as Snoop Dogg, Twenty One Pilots, D4vd, Royal & The Serpent.

T1 and League of Legends won big at The Game Award

For the Esports community, attention will focus on the Esports categories. This year, Esports appears in 3 categories: Esports Player of the Year, Esports Team of the Year and Esports Game of the Year. In particular, the categories are decided by a combination of 10% votes from fans and 90% from industry experts.

According to the results, League of Legends was completely dominated in all three categories. Among them, League of Legends was chosen as the Esports Game of the Year, T1 as the Esports Team of the Year and Faker as the Esports Player of the Year. In 2024, Faker and T1 won two tournaments, the Esports World Cup and the World Finals, in addition, League of Legends also achieved a series of impressive achievements in terms of views. 

In addition, League of Legends also appeared in the Best Adaptation category with the Arcane series. However, the winning nomination was Fallout. The nomination that received the most attention was Game of the Year, which belonged to Astro Bot. This was a choice that surprised the Vietnamese community when the choice that received the greatest attention was Black Myth: Wukong did not win the final round.
