Team Liquid also recovered from an unfavorable start to win a spot in the loser's bracket in the Playoffs round.

Dota 2's ESL One Bangkok 2024 group stage ended on Wednesday (December 11) with six teams advancing to the Playoffs, while the remaining four teams had to exit the tournament early.

Team Falcons, BetBoom Team and AVULUS finished in the top 2 of their groups to earn the right to start in the winners bracket of the Playoffs. Meanwhile, Team Spirit, Shopify Rebellion, Nigma Galaxy and defending champion The International (TI), Team Liquid, also reached the Playoffs round but had to start from the loser's bracket.

Meanwhile, teams BOOM Esports, Natus Vincere (NAVI), Gaozu and M80 were eliminated.

How the matches played out on the third and final matchday of the group stage:

Falcons, BetBoom and AVULUS won the winning bracket

With PARIVISION already guaranteed a place in the winner's bracket from the second day of competition, there are seven remaining Playoffs spots to be decided on the last day of the group stage. Falcons top Group A with an 8-2 record after a 2-0 win over NAVI, while AVULUS maintained second place despite a 1-1 draw with Shopify Rebellion.

BOOM Esports had a chance to win the final Playoffs spot from Team Spirit but only achieved a 1-1 draw. A 1v1 tiebreaker match between Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov and Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer took place, with Team Spirit's Satanic winning, helping his team reach the Playoffs.

In Group B, PARIVISION completed their group stage campaign with a 2-0 win over Nigma Galaxy, who had to play with Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi replacing Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, who was unable to Participated due to sudden illness. With this result, PARIVISION will enter the Playoffs round as the brightest candidate, losing only one match out of ten matches played. While Nigma Galaxy could have secured a spot in the winners bracket had they posted a 2-0 win over PARIVISION, they still qualified to start the Playoffs from the losers bracket.

Defending TI champions, Liquid, escaped the risk of early elimination after only posting a 2-6 record in the first two days of the group stage. However, they made it through to the group stage thanks to a series of lucky events. Liquid won 2-0 against M80, improving their record to 4-6 and winning the final Playoffs spot of Group B. Meanwhile, Gaozu only achieved a 3-7 record after being defeated 2-0 by BetBoom.
