Nigma Galaxy is also in a favorable position to win the Playoffs.

Tensions at the Dota 2 ESL One Bangkok 2024 tournament are rising as the second day of the group stage on Tuesday (December 10) has ended. PARIVISION is the first team to win tickets to the Playoffs after achieving a 7-1 record, while defending champion The International (TI) Team Liquid is facing the risk of early elimination. Nigma Galaxy, with consecutive draws, is also on track to enter the Playoffs.

Below are the developments on the second day of the ESL One Bangkok 2024 group stage:

PARIVISION won the Playoffs ticket, Liquid faced the risk of early elimination

After an impressive start with a 3-1 record on the first day, PARIVISION continued to maintain stable performance on the second day when they swept Liquid and Gaozu, improving their record to 7-1 to become the first team Win a spot to compete in the winning bracket of the Playoffs. BetBoom Team is also almost certain to enter the winner's bracket, ending the day with a 6-2 record after unexpectedly drawing 1-1 with Nigma Galaxy and defeating M80 with a score of 2-0.

In Group A, Team Falcons and AVULUS lead with 6-2 and 5-3 records, respectively, thereby ensuring the Playoffs. Falcons are in a solid position in the winning bracket, but AVULUS is not sure to escape the competition of Shopify Rebellion and Team Spirit in the middle of the table.

Shopify Rebellion, after a surprising 3-1 performance on day one, returned to average form by only reaching 1-3 on day two after being swept by the Falcons and drawing 1-1 with Spirit. Spirit continued their draw streak by splitting points with both AVULUS and Shopify Rebellion, bringing their record to 4-4. With this result, both Shopify Rebellion and Spirit still have a chance to compete for AVULUS's winning bracket on the final day of competition.

Another team also maintaining a draw streak is Nigma Galaxy, who held BetBoom and Liquid to a draw on the second day of competition. With three teams in Group B having lower achievements, with just one more draw, Nigma Galaxy will definitely enter the Playoffs.

However, while many teams are in good form, Liquid is a team that is a big disappointment. After a disappointing 1-3 start on the first day, the team continued to only reach 1-3 on the second day after being swept 2-0 by PARIVISION and held to a draw by Nigma Galaxy. Despite being the defending TI champions, Liquid's chances of entering the main stage of ESL One Bangkok 2024 seem very slim.

Two other teams also ended the second day of competition outside the top of the Playoffs with a 2-6 record: Natus Vincere (NAVI) in Group A and M80 in Group B. NAVI, which did not win any matches on the first day, improved by How to wipe out BOOM Esports before being overwhelmed by AVULUS. BOOM has a better record with 3-5 in Group B, but their chance of entering the Playoffs is also very low.

The final match day of the ESL One Bangkok 2024 group stage will witness the final three matches of each group. In Group A, the matches will be Spirit vs. BOOM, AVULUS vs. Shopify Rebellion, and Falcons vs. NAVI. In Group B, the matches will be PARIVISION vs. Nigma Galaxy, Gaozu vs. BetBoom, and Liquid vs. M80.
