During the transfer window at the end of 2024, LPL witnessed an unprecedented milestone in the history of League of Legends.

At the present time, while LCK teams have almost completed their roster and started bringing rookies to test in KeSPA Cup 2024, LPL seems to have just begun to "close" deals. On December 3 and 4, there were continuous announcements of farewell to players from LPL teams in the transfer window at the end of the 2024 season. This unintentionally "helped" LPL set a special milestone.

All three teams that won the World Championship no longer have any players from the squad that won the title at that time after EDG parted ways with JieJie.

Accordingly, with EDG also officially parting ways with JieJie, all 3 LPL teams that have won the World Championship no longer retain any members participating in those titles. Although Invictus Gaming is preparing to build a new "super team" with the participation of TheShy and possibly Rookie, they have not officially announced it yet.

This special milestone of LPL is even "unprecedented" in the history of League of Legends. Because, as long as Faker still plays for T1, there will always be at least one World Championship champion still playing for the parent team that won the throne with them. And even when Faker retires, it's likely that by then there will already be Gumayusi, Oner... to take over this "position" for him.

LCK will not be equal to LPL at this point as Faker will almost certainly always wear the T1 shirt until the end of his career.

But it also shows the harshness and elimination of LPL through each transfer season

The fact that there is no longer a World Championship champion still playing for the team that won the throne with them also shows two factors: LPL players easily lose motivation or form after winning the throne and the harsh elimination environment of LPL. LPL does not spare anyone. Former players can still be recognized (TheShy, Doinb, Rookie, JackeyLove...) but it will be difficult for them to repeat their past achievements.

And after this golden period, LPL could almost no longer think about glory. Worlds 2022 is an "LCC civil war", Worlds 2023 is the dominance of T1 while Worlds 2024, BLG lacks moments of genius while Faker alone has had at least 2 such situations.

LPL is always the second most powerful region in League of Legends. However, they are falling for many reasons. The only thing is, when LPL regains its golden period, perhaps the teams here themselves cannot answer.
