ESL One Bangkok 2024 promises to bring an exciting Dota 2 tournament to close out 2024!

12 of the world's top teams will compete for a prize pool of $1 million in Thailand this December.


ESL One Bangkok 2024 will be the last top Dota 2 tournament of the year, gathering 12 of the world's strongest teams to compete from December 9 to 15 in Thailand. The tournament will have a total prize pool of 1 million USD and 20,940 ESL Pro Tour (EPT) points, guaranteeing invitations to future ESL events for high-ranking teams.

ESL One Bangkok 2024 will have a total of 12 teams participating, including 4 directly invited teams and 8 teams winning tickets through 7 regional qualifiers. Here is the full list:

Competition format

ESL One Bangkok 2024 will be divided into 2 main stages: Group Stage, taking place from December 9 to 11, and Playoffs Round, taking place from December 13 to 15. The group stage will only be broadcast online, while the Playoffs will be held live in front of an audience at the Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok.

The group stage will divide the 12 participating teams into 2 groups, each with 6 teams. Teams will compete in a round robin format with all matches being BO2, competing for 8 spots in the Playoffs. The top 2 teams in each group will go straight to the winner's bracket of the Playoffs, while the 3rd and 4th ranked teams will start from the loser's bracket. The bottom 2 teams will be eliminated.

Currently, ESL has not yet announced the grouping list for the Group Stage of ESL One Bangkok 2024.

The Playoffs round will take place in a winner - loser format, with all matches being BO3, except for the Grand Final which will be BO5.

Prize

ESL One Bangkok 2024 will have a total prize pool of 1 million USD and 20,940 EPT points. All participating teams are guaranteed at least 25,000 USD, while the champion team will receive a reward of 300,000 USD.
