FaZe secured the final qualifying spot for the Perfect World Shanghai Major in Europe RMR A after defeating Cloud9 in the fourth place decider.

The team led by Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov will begin the Major from the Starter Round, where they will face three teams from the Asia region, seven teams from the Americas region, and the teams ranked 6-7 in the each group of the European region.

Håvard "rain" Nygaard continued his impressive form at RMR, once again playing a key role in FaZe's win over Cloud9. He achieved ratings of 1.63 and 1.65 on maps where FaZe won convincingly on Mirage and Inferno, with a defeat on Ancient.

Rain's outstanding achievements in the Major qualifiers

The Norwegian finished the Major qualifiers with the highest rating on the team, scoring 1.28 across all nine maps played. Notably, he achieved a rating of 1.50 with 94 ADR (average damage per round) only in maps where FaZe won against Cloud9, Falcons, and fnatic.

In an interview with HLTV before the match to decide fourth place, rain shared that the improvement in his form came from working harder.

“I spent more time focusing on myself and making sure I didn't miss the kills I should have gotten,” he said. "I just need to keep working hard and hopefully maintain this form at the Major."
