Rare Atom leaves LPL, TheShy returns to professional competition?

RA joins the LPL in 2021 after changing its name from Victory Five. In 4 seasons participating in the LPL, RA has entered the Play-off round of the tournament 4 times, but the best performance is only 5-6th place in the LPL Summer 2021. The team has also never participated in an international tournament when once participated in the LPL regional qualifiers but was soon eliminated after a 0-3 loss to LNG Esports.

Rumors from Hanyi

Meanwhile, the more notable rumor belongs to TheShy as this player is expected to return to the professional arena after a year off. More notably, the former 2018 world champion is rumored to reunite with former teammate Rookie at Invictus Gaming (IG). Even the OBGG page specializing in updating Chinese player information has included this duo in the IG 2025 squad.

Afterwards, famous LPL source Wooloo also confirmed that the duo will return to their old team next season. TheShy and Rookie have played together for a long time under IG, with the most impressive achievement being the 2018 world championship, bringing the first world title to the LPL region.

Since leaving IG at the end of 2021, both players have not been able to repeat this achievement. Only TheShy reached the Finals of Worlds 2023 with Weibo Gaming but lost 0-3 to T1.
