Despite facing many difficulties in the second game, T1 was still able to win the final 2-0 against G2 Esports. Accordingly, the defending world champion won the right to enter the quarterfinals with a 3-1 record.


Entering game 1, G2 was on the blue side and chose a very strong fighting duo, Nocturne - Orianna. Meanwhile, T1 used a defensive formation with Gragas on the top lane and Jhin on the ADC. In the early stages, the game was very tense but G2 still gained the advantage when Draven had many kills.

After that, T1 began to show their fighting ability to lead G2 back and create a difference of 3,000 money. Minute 24, T1 won the soul of the Dragon Transformation Technique, then captured 2 of T1's people and won Baron. Just 3 minutes later, G2 tried to push the mid lane but T1 promptly counterattacked, the LCK representative defeated 3 people and won, taking a 1-0 lead. 


In game 2, G2 still chose the blue side and kept the duo Nocturne - Orianna, while T1 also aimed for the top wing with Jax - Vi - Ahri. The two sides did not fight much in the early stages, but T1 was still the leading team with a gap of 2,000 money. In the middle stage, T1 continued to "snowball" to increase the distance. 


At 26 minutes, T1 wanted to open a fight but G2 counterattacked, created a clean sweep and won Baron. After that, G2 started taking advantage of Baron to push T1's two lanes. At minute 31, T1 won the fight in the bottom lane and equalized the difference. Just 2 minutes later, G2 caught Zeus and attacked Baron, but Oner successfully stole it. 


However, G2 was still able to push T1's three lines despite not being able to finish the game. At 39 minutes, Caps was captured and T1 won both Elder Dragon and Baron. With the two strongest buffs on the map, T1 entered the G2 mid lane and won, setting the score 2-0.
