Falcons' manager revealed the reason behind the team's decision when ignoring Blast Bounty and Open.
Falcons predict potential issues when bringing Kyousuke to all Schengen events
In the past two days, it was revealed that Falcons decided to refuse invitations to participate in the next two tournaments of Blast, Bounty (August 5–17) and Open (August 27 to September 7).
In a response to HLTV, managing Falcons's Counter-Strike array, Xavier Roussac, revealed the reason behind that decision.
Roussac explained that this is a combination of two factors: the potential difficulty in applying for a visa for Maxim "Kyousuke" Lukin and the low impact of these two events to the regional rankings of Valve (VRS) due to the majority of online matches held online.
“Kyousuke is only 17 years old and has not really traveled abroad, which makes it a bit more difficult to apply for a Schengen visa. Schengen, ”the manager explained.
"The impact of Blast on VRS will be at least compared to the time to spend because most of the tournament is held online and less 'attractive' to compete," he added.
The team will participate in Fissure Playground 2 instead of blast due to the larger VRS, the manager added. The invitations have not been published, but Falcons is entirely in the scope of the invitation for this tournament, where there will be 16 teams invited based on global VRS.
The event will take place in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–21 September and does not coincide with any Blast tournament, but will be superior to both in terms of impact on VRS because it is held on LANs and has a much larger total prize: 1.25 million USD, compared to Bounty's $ 500,000 and $ 330,000 of OPEN.
