In the remaining match in the 2-0 bracket, GenG also came back to win 2-1 against Hanwha Life Esports (HLE). Accordingly, GenG is the next team to win the right to enter the quarterfinals with a 3-0 record with LNG Esports.


Entering the first game, HLE played first on the blue team and chose the main duo Yone - Kai'sa, while GEN took Aurora - Ahri - Varus. GEN created a big advantage when winning the first tower in the bottom lane, but HLE was still able to balance the difference with strong laning ability.

After that, the game was very tense until the 21st minute when HLE pressed people down to attack Chovy but GEN took the opportunity to win Baron. However, GEN was unable to take advantage of this buff, even allowing HLE to take the lead. At 28 minutes, HLE won the second Baron after catching Chovy. Just 2 minutes later, GEN failed in the Dragon fight, HLE made a clean sweep and won, taking a 1-0 lead. 


In game 2, GEN switched to the blue side and replaced the bot lane duo from Varus - Renata Glasc to Kalista - Leona. Meanwhile, HLE focused on the upper wing with the trio Rumble - Vi - Akali. The match continued to be balanced as the difference in money between the two sides was almost non-existent. Entering the middle phase, GEN began to take the lead as they continuously pushed HLE's tower. 


The two sides continuously fought and GEN was still the winning team. In the end, the LCK Summer 2024 runner-up won the first Baron in the 30th minute. With this buff, GEN increased the gap to 9,000 money. At 35 minutes, GEN won the decisive fight in the bottom lane, creating a clean sweep to destroy the main house, equalizing the score 1-1. 


In the deciding game, HLE returned to the blue side and chose a two-shooter lineup with Smolder - Varus. Meanwhile, GEN still keeps the choice of Ahri mid lane and Twitch ADC for Peyz. In the first phase, GEN was the team that gained the advantage when controlling all the Dragon and Void Worm targets. 


By the 20th minute, the two sides fighting Dragon and Chovy shined with a Quadra Kill, helping GEN create a clean sweep and start to take the lead. At 28 minutes, GEN won Baron and gained 4 more kills, increasing the gap to 6,000 money. Just 2 minutes later, HLE failed to fight in the top lane and allowed GEN to sweep once again, thereby setting the score 2-1.
