After placing third at The International 2024 with Tundra Esports, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen announced his plans to retire.

He didn't have much professional experience and certainly wasn't expected to win TI in his first appearance on the big stage. However, he proved them all wrong and won his first Aegis of Champions with OG without losing a single series at the main event.

Topson returned even stronger at TI9, once again advancing his team through the winner's bracket to lift the Aegis for the second time and set an unmatched record: winning consecutive TIs without any losses. any match in the play-off round.

Despite periods of rest and team changes, Topson continues to become a Dota 2 legend with his creative and unique approach to the game. In the last two TIs, he played for Tundra Esports – last year as a substitute, and this year finishing in third place.

Now, the Finnish international will step out of the spotlight once again – and who knows how long he will be out of action?

As for Tundra, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, who was on loan for part of the year, has revealed that he will not remain with the team in the upcoming season. Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who was also on loan from BetBoom Team, ended his loan deal and returned to the EEU representative team.

Tundra is expected to participate in PGL Wallachia Season 2, which is scheduled to begin on October 4 after they received a direct invitation. Many fans are also hoping to see them participate in DreamLeague Season 24 or at least the closed qualifiers - however, no teams have been announced for either tournament yet.
