This announcement was made among rumors that a large team was investigated by ESIC because of the question of the score.
Update 17:15: PGL type ATOX from the Bucharest qualifying round
ATOX was also banned from participating in PGL events from the order from ESIC.
This includes Mesa Asian Masters, the tournament that is taking place in Mongolia, acting as a closed qualifying round for PGL Bucharest.
ATOX has been withdrawn to attend Blast Open Lisbon because the team is "temporarily suspended from all ESIC members," according to the announcement from the tournament organizers.
The team from Mongolia was replaced by The Huns, the second team in the Blast Rising Asia qualifying round, taking place in mid -February.
Due to this change, The Huns has now become the lowest seed of the tournament, instead of Atox (the original No. 14 seed). Therefore, the schedule has been adjusted. In the opening match of the tournament on March 19, The Huns will confront Spirit, the team with the No. 1 seed in Group A.
Currently, there is no specific information about Atox's suspension, and ESIC has not officially published any measures.
This announcement appears between rumors that a large team is investigated by ESIC. Chinese commentator Yunqing "search" Hu posted an article on social networks on February 26, in which he revealed:
"A team is in the top 30 VRS rankings being investigated by ESIC for suspicion of arranging scoring in a match of EPL 2024."
"ESIC has stated that the investigation could last for a few weeks. The next tournament organizers of this team knew about the investigation and was ready to prohibit the team at any time."
Atox participated in ESL Pro League Season 20 last September, ending the tournament at 21-28 after winning a four match.
