How successful will Friberg be as a coach?

Friberg announced his move to coaching

Friberg's career began at CS:Source, but he rose to fame through his presence in Ninjas in Pajamas in Counter-Strike Global Offensive. The Ninjas' 87-0 streak has made them a dominant force in the Global Offensive.

Known as the King of Banana, Friberg's presence and performance on Inferno often helped NiP cement that map as the deciding factor in tournament finals and important matches. He was the MVP of NiP's Major victory at ESL One Katowice 2014.

After NiP Friberg was part of OpTiC and Heroic and more recently Team Dignitas. This gamer cannot recreate the performance he had during his time at NiP. He hopes to revive his gaming career by moving into coaching, a role he feels is better suited to his skills. Not only is he a veteran of Counter-Strike, but his leadership abilities were thoroughly tested during his days at OpTic and HEROIC.

After Team Dignitas, Fribergy only played in many exhibition matches and unique events. He also participated in BLAST The Draft Season 1 as a member of Pak Boyz, a team of Pakistani gamers. The team finished third in the event and lost to Marcos Gaming in the lower bracket finals.

During his time in Ninjas, Friberg was not an In-Game Leader. However, as a rifleman and quite often a mainstay of one of the bombsites, he has unique insight into the team's movements and the overall strategy of the round. It will be interesting to see how he uses those skills to his team's advantage as a coach. He is still looking for a new organization to represent as a coach.
