This puts FaZe in an increasingly dangerous 1-1 group, where Spirit, G2, and Natus Vincere also have the same record after the first day of competition.

On stream B, 3DMAX bounced back from an 11-13 loss to MIBR by defeating paiN 13-11 in a chaotic match filled with intense duels on the Dust2 map.

Pierre "⁠Ex3rcice⁠" Bulinge and Lucas "⁠Lucky⁠" Chastang both won crucial 1v2 situations in the late game, where Lucky punished a strange decision by Lucas "⁠nqz⁠" Soares at 12-11 to take the win for both the map and the match.

This was an excellent match from Lucky, who had an extremely impressive 1.51 rating at RMR and returned to that form in this match after struggling against MIBR previously.
