The Swedish player updated the situation on the reason for his absence at the end of this year.
maxster will return to play with the team in 2025
Ninjas in Pajamas announced on Wednesday that they will use Jacob "jocab" Nerheden in the Svenska Cupen and RMR tournaments, while Max "maxster" Jansson continues to recover from the injury that left him absent from the Elisa Masters Espoo and Thunderpick World Championship tournaments.
The 20-year-old player shared the reason for his absence, saying he "felt dizzy, had a headache, had a stomach ache, and had a general decline in health," and had "difficulty eating and feeling weak and lacking energy."
The maxster also announced the good news that he was "feeling much better" and had been looking forward to returning to play towards the end of the season, but the Ninjas in Pajamas team decided not to rush him back onto the field.
"I really understand the decision," he shared, "but of course it's sad to miss Sweden's biggest tournament and also my first RMR."
Ninjas in Pajamas will face Alliance in the Svenska Cupen semi-finals, while Metizport and Johnny Speeds compete in the other match. If they reach the final, they will have their last official match on Saturday at 23:00 before flying to China to play RMR.
All eyes will then turn to Shanghai, where Ninjas in Pajamas will face the world's second-ranked team, G2, in the opening match of the Major qualifying campaign on November 21.
maxster ended his statement by thanking Ninjas in Pajamas for supporting him all this time, along with fans who sent good wishes and encouragement. He also said he would be present at the Orangeriet in Stockholm to cheer for his teammates in the Svenska Cupen tournament before returning to streaming after the tournament.
