Xtreme Gaming has changed its support duo ahead of the first tournament of the 2024-2025 competitive season.
After returning from The International 2024 (TI13) with a top 6 position, Xtreme Gaming had a longer break than many other teams and skipped the first 2 tournaments of the new season. The Chinese representative received a direct invitation to participate in PGL Wallachia Season 2, the first international tournament held on LAN after TI13, but gave up their participation. They also completely missed the ongoing BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, but will participate in DreamLeague Season 24, which is scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 27.
In a shocking move, China's star support position 4, Zhao "XinQ" Zixing, along with Ding "Dy" Cong were moved to the bench. It is unclear whether this change was at the request of the players, but Xtreme Gaming will compete in DreamLeague Season 24 with Xiong "Pyw" Jiahan replacing XinQ and Jiang "天命" An replacing Dy.
While Pyw comes from Team Zero, Xtreme Gaming's 2nd team before TI13, Tianming is currently in an inactive state with Azure Ray. For both players, the upcoming DreamLeague season could be a fierce test and could earn them official contracts with the organization.
Xtreme Gaming lineup at DreamLeague Season 24:
•Wang “Ame” Chunyu
•Hongcheng “Xm” Guo
•Jing “Xxs” Lin
•Jiahan “Pyw” Xiong (stand-in)
•Jiang “天命” An (stand-in)
•Coach: Wang "Maps" Yutian
Xtreme is one of 6 teams directly invited to DreamLeague thanks to their top 4 performance last season and overall top 4 position on the ESL Pro Tour Season 2 rankings.
As with the previous ESL Pro Tour season, all DreamLeague and ESL One tournaments will also count ESL Pro Tour (EPT) points, which will determine direct invitations to Riyadh Masters next year.
