Despite OG.Latam disintegration, OG organization is still committed to sticking to South America and will build a new squad.

The famous DOTA 2 organization has officially parted with the entire OG.Latam squad, the team from South America, after more than two months of cooperation. This is the Peruvian squad that OG recruits aimed at the ticket to Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 and The International (TI) 2025 through South America.

"Now when the SA qualifiers have ended, we let the players freely seek new options after the current contract expires," OG announced on social networking channels.

Despite the OG.Latam dissolution, OG confirmed that it was committed to developing South America, and revealed the plan to build a new squad here. The organization will continue to work with coach Juan "Vintage" Angulo and manager Luan "Luan" Tomaz Pereira.

"We will continue to cooperate with Vintage and Luan to ensure there is a strong project for the region, and reaffirms our commitment to SA as well as with OG's quality standards," quoted OG's notice.

OG.Latam was founded in late April this year, when OG decided to invest in South America in parallel with the retention of the European squad - currently "n0tail" Sundstein "N0tail", co -founder and twice the championship, coach. They have recruited Stack Perrito Panzón, the team that has just won the SA area of the Dreamleague Season 26.

The squad includes Peruvian's thick and talented names:

• Héhho Antonio "K1" Rodriguez
• Gonzalo "DARKMAGO" Herrera
• Mario "ilich-" Romero
• Yeltsin "El Mismo" Verde
• Joel "Mooz" Mori

OG even confirmed OG.Latam is the "main" squad of the organization during this period thanks to achievements and experience.

However, OG.Latam's play results were very faint: they ranked last at the Dreamleague Season 26 and had a problem just before the qualifying round when Darkmago was replaced by Santiago "Tailung" Aguero just a week before the important qualifying round.

In the EWC 2025 and TI 2025 qualifiers, the team did not play any badly, but still failed in the decisive stage: ranked 2nd in EWC and 3rd class in the Ti qualifier, all eliminated by the big man in Heroic.

What is next for OG.Latam?

With the end of the qualifying season and no big tournament is sure at hand, OG.Latam has officially disintegrated. OG will still maintain two squads: one in Europe and one in South America (in the process of rebuilding).

The 2025 season continues to be a challenging year for OG, when they are absent from three consecutive years and miss many Tier 1 prizes. However, fans still expect OG to return in the second half of the season, with the European squad is gradually recovering and a new project in Latam is about to debut.
