The spring tournament of the areas is reaching the ending phase and all 5 regions have identified the names that will attend the mid-sex invitational (MSI) 2025. Notably, there are 3/5 champions of the First Stand 2025 champion who will not participate in the upcoming MSI in Canada.

In 2025, Riot Games announced a great change for League of Legends when organizing an additional international tournament, First Stand with 5 champions from 5 participating areas. In the first season in 2025, 5 teams attended were CTBC Flying Oyster (LCP Area), Top Esports (LPL), Hanwha Life Esports (LCK), Team Liquid (LTA) and Karmine Corp (LEC).

However, after only 1 season, there are currently 3 teams attending the First Stand "missed an appointment" with MSI 2025 are Top Eports, Team Liquid and Karmine Corp. Up to now, CTBC Flying Oyster is the only team to successfully defend the title of the championship in the first season of 2025 and still attend MSI 2025. Recently, CTBC Flying Oyster has just won 3-2 against the ESports GAM to successfully defend the title at LCP.

In the remaining areas, Top Esports suddenly stopped at the Play-off of LPL 2025 Split 2. Despite winning Funplus Phoenix 3-1 in the opening match, Kanavi and his teammates lost two consecutive games against Bilibili Gaming (BLG) with a score of 0-3 and lost to WE 2-3, officially stopped at rank 5-6 and could not gain the right to participate in MSI 2025.

In North America, Team Liquid also shows low performance when losing to Cloud9 0-3 in the upper branch and continues to receive 1-3 defeat before Shopify Rebellion, which is also eliminated from the LTA LTA Split 2 play-off 2025.

Currently, only one regional champion is Hanwha Life Esports that has not determined the competition at MSI 2025. This week, Viper and his teammates will meet Geng in the third round of the selection round, if the victory will attend MSI 2025.
