After many years of struggling in Western Europe, OG is looking for a new successful path through the South American squad.

This new team gathered some of Peru's most veteran and most successful players, including players position Carry Hector Antonio "K1" Rodriguez, Mid Gonzalo player "DARKMAGO" Herrera, and support 5 Joel "Mooz" Mori.

Completing the squad is offlaner Mario "ilich-" Romero, support position 4 Yelstin "Elmisho" Verde, and coach Juan David "Vintage" Angulo Nicho. OG signed the second squad in South America after having difficulty in Western Europe

OG said OG.Latam will be their second dota 2 squad, referring to that the organization still intends to maintain the main squad in the countryside of Western Europe. However, with long difficulties in the fierce Dota 2 area like Western Europe, signing a contract with OG.Latam may be an effort of OG to find a new direction to succeed.

Despite being one of the most famous and symbolic organizations in Dota 2, OG has no longer retain the position of a champion of The International (TI) twice since 2022, when they won the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and reached the top 8 of TI 2022 with the squad led by players like Bozhidar "Bzm" Boogdanov and Ammar "ATF" ATF "ATF" ATF "ATF" ATF.

From 2023 onwards, OG did not win any championship and constantly changed the squad to regain its position.

In 2025, OG could not win 7 out of 8 Tier 1 tournaments, with the only appearance at PGL Wallachia Season 3 witnessed them stopping at 15-16. At the same time, the squad also constantly changes with many players coming and going.

OG started the year with a squad including Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, Leon "Nine" Kirin, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, Matthew "Ari" Walker, and Jian Wei "Xnova-" Yap, after the departure of BZM and Adrian "Wisper" Cespedes Dobles in the transfer period.

But after being unable to pass the Dreamleague Season 25 and ESL One Raleigh 2025 in January, OG let Ari sit on the bench and signed a contract with the 4 -name Kazakhstan name Tamir "Daze" Tokpanov. Ceb also returned to play as Offlaner and captain in early February after a short time without working to lead the team to overcome challenging qualifiers.

However, those changes were almost ineffective, when OG only ranked 7-8 in both PGL Wallachia Season 4 and Fissure Universe Episode 4 in March. That led to OG breaking up 23savage and Xnova, and Ceb returned to the inactive list. OG then added three probationary players, Stefan "Ulnit" Gavrila, Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn, and Ivan "Kidaro" Bondarev in late March.

After unable to pass the Dreamleague 26 qualifying qualifying round, OG continued to change the squad as Nine left the team and two new probes, Altanginj "423" Bilguun and Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau were added.

However, OG continued to play less impressive in April when only ranked 7-8 at CCT Series 8 and 5 at Fissure Special, even in low-class tournaments.

With the signing with OG.Latam, it is still unclear whether the main team is playing in Western Europe of OG still exists - or whether the organization is planning to turn this new Peruvian squad into a key squad. OG.Latam's performance at the Dreamleague Season 26 will be the key factor that determines OG whether OG has completely betting on the new South American project or continues to try to stay in Western Europe.
