DreamLeague Season 24 has completed the qualifying round, adding 10 more teams to the participating list at the end of October. 

DreamLeague Season 24 is just a few weeks away, and this will be the second biggest event in the post-The International (TI) period. The tournament's qualifying rounds are also the second time taking place after the lineup changes, creating an opportunity for fans to follow the new lineups and for the teams to try out before entering the main tournament.

Only 6 teams were directly invited, and these teams have not yet been announced. However, it is likely that the DreamLeague Season 23 champion team, Team Falcons, will attend to defend their title. Of course, most expect to see the appearance of The International 2024 champions Team Liquid and runner-up team Gaimin Gladiators.

This meant that the qualifying round had very fierce competition. Among the notable failures were Natus Vincere's presence with Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov in Eastern Europe, Alliance - the team that recruited Dandelions and OG's new squad in Western Europe, the new squad of Aurora in SEA, and Shopify Rebellion's new team in North America.

In a pleasant surprise, Nigma Galaxy, this time without Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi, will kick off the new season by attending one of the biggest events of the year – we will withhold comment on the absence. his and the team's newfound success, as well as the fact that Zone Academy made it to the finals against Nigma without ever having won a single match before.

DreamLeague Season 24 will begin on October 27 and end on November 10. As usual, teams will gather at bootcamps in Europe to compete for a share of the 1,000 prize pool. 000 USD and 14,075 EPT points.

DreamLeague Season 24 tournament format:

• Group stage 1: October 27-30, 2024

o 2 round-robin groups, each group includes 8 teams
o All matches are Bo2 (best of 2 – play 2 games)
o The top 4 teams in each group will advance to group stage 2
o The remaining teams will be eliminated

• Group stage 2: November 1-7, 2024

o A round-robin group, consisting of 8 teams
o All matches are Bo3 (best of 3 – play 3 games)
o The top 2 teams will advance to the winner's bracket of the playoff round
o The 3rd and 4th ranked teams will enter the loser's bracket of the playoff round
o The remaining teams will be eliminated

• Playoff round: November 9-10, 2024

o Double elimination format
o All matches, except the final, are Bo3
o The final match will be Bo5 (best of 5 – play 5 games)

DreamLeague Season 24 Prizes:

The total prize pool of DreamLeague Season 24 is 1,000,000 USD – same as previous editions. Actually, this number is not much different from The International's prize, when TI 2024 reached a total value of 2,602,164 USD.
