Valve revealed new information about The International 2025

Valve has announced the change of the group stage structure of The International 2025 by applying the Swiss System (Swiss System). This is once again the famous Valve company showing its creativity.

This information was posted on the official Dota 2 page on Steam.

The first phase will take place from 4 to 7 September, with all BO3 format matches (fighting three matches). After five rounds, three teams with four wins will win tickets to the playoffs and continue to compete for the championship.

The remaining ten teams will play an additional qualifying round with the "strong and weak" matching system. Five winning teams will enter the next round, while five losing teams will be eliminated.

All teams participating in the playoffs round will start in the winning branch. The next match will still follow the BO3 format, except for the final final will take place in the Bo5 format (five winnings). The pairing will be based on the achievements of the teams in the group stage. These matches will take place from 11 to 14 September.

Tickets to see the last part of the tournament will be opened early on April 15 at 11 am Moscow hour. Fans can buy tickets on AXS, with both odd and multi -day tickets provided.

Earlier, Valve celebrated April Fool's Day in Dota 2 by adding special visual effects to the creeps.
