OG encountered difficulties in the DreamLeague S25 qualifiers

The new year marks a new beginning for many teams, and OG is no exception. OG went through significant roster changes following the conclusion of The International (TI) 2024, a tournament the team failed to qualify for – the second time in the organization's history they won two TI championships. This team has not been able to participate in Dota 2's annual world championship tournament since its founding in 2015.

Over the past two months, OG has welcomed Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, Leon “Nine” Kirilin and Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap to the roster, with longtime member Sébastien “Ceb” Debs also returning to play with stand-in role. Despite having a star-studded roster, OG continues to deliver results that are not as expected.

In the opening round of the Western European qualifiers, OG faced Natus Vincere Junior. The series ended quickly with a score of 0-2 in favor of NaVi Junior, pushing OG to the losing bracket.

Their next opponent in the loser's bracket is Jigglin, a new squad in the region with notable names like MinD_ContRoL and Rodrigo "Lelis" Santos. Jigglin, who qualified through Open Qualifier #2, went on to win 2-0 against OG, eliminating them from the tournament.

Jigglin have now progressed to the next round where they will face Gaimin Gladiators. Up to now, AVULUS and Tundra Esports have won the first two spots representing the Western European region to attend DreamLeague Season 25. One final spot is still waiting for the owner in the loser's bracket of the qualifiers.

2025 has not started well for OG, but the team still has room to improve. Their next challenge will be the Western European qualifiers of PGL Wallachia Season 3, which begins on January 12.
