ESL One Bangkok 2024 will be the last major tournament this year, but which team will shine to close out 2024?

The ESL One Bangkok 2024 tournament brings together 12 of the world's top teams, taking place from December 9 to 15 in Thailand. A total prize pool of $1 million USD along with 20,940 ESL Pro Tour points will be awarded, guaranteeing invitations to high-ranked teams to attend future ESL events.



Here are our predictions for the results of the 12 teams participating in ESL One Bangkok 2024:


Champion candidates: BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Team Liquid

The strongest candidates entering ESL One Bangkok are BetBoom Team, who just won an overwhelming victory at Dota 2 BLAST Slam I earlier this month. While this is just the organisation's first title, their recent strong rise will likely help BetBoom take home their second title in Bangkok.

Of course, Team Falcons and Team Liquid are also indispensable in the list of top candidates this year. The Falcons, despite their inconsistent performances, are still the dominant team in terms of titles this year. Meanwhile, Liquid, despite having just replaced Neta “33” Shapira with Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek, is still the champion of The International (TI) this year.

Don't forget PARIVISION, who have been in the Top 4 of all the tournaments they've attended in recent months. With unexpected victories, Bangkok can be a turning point for them to prove themselves.

Although all four teams were evenly matched, they had been superior to other teams in previous events. Whether they can maintain their form at ESL One Bangkok, time will tell. But clearly, BetBoom, Falcons, Liquid, and PARIVISION are safe bets for anyone.



Potential opponents: Team Spirit, AVULUS, Gaozu, Natus Vincere

Not every team is a championship contender, but Team Spirit, AVULUS, Gaozu, and Natus Vincere (NAVI) are still strong teams with a chance to win the title at ESL One Bangkok.

Spirit is in an unstable phase with the integration of Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov and Aleksandr “rue” Filin, but remains a constant threat. AVULUS is an emerging force in Western Europe, and other teams need to be wary of this team. Meanwhile, Gaozu is a rare bright spot in the struggling Chinese region, with a squad full of veterans eager to prove that China is still competitive with Western and Eastern Europe.

Finally, there are the teams BOOM Esports, Shopify Rebellion, M80, and Nigma Galaxy. These teams are not easy to beat, but they are clearly not on the same level as the teams mentioned above.

BOOM Esports and M80 (formerly beastcoast) just reformed their roster after TI, so it will take time to perfect. Shopify Rebellion's roster has only been playing together since September, and ESL One Bangkok will be their first LAN. As for Nigma Galaxy - although excellent results cannot be expected, they will definitely bring interesting matches thanks to the big names in the squad.

ESL One Bangkok 2024 will take place from December 9 to 15, divided into two stages: Group Stage from December 9 to 11, and Playoff Stage from December 13 to 15.
