ESL One Bangkok 2024 will be the last major tournament this year, but which team will steal the spotlight to close out 2024?

ESL One Bangkok 2024, the premier Dota 2 event, bringing together 12 of the world's strongest teams, will take place from December 9 to 15 in Thailand. The total prize pool is up to 1 million USD, along with 20,940 ESL Pro Tour points, ensuring invitations to future major ESL events for top teams.

Here's a look at how the participating teams will perform at ESL One Bangkok 2024:

Top candidates: BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Team Liquid
The brightest candidate for the ESL One Bangkok championship is BetBoom Team, who just won convincingly at Dota 2 BLAST Slam I earlier this month. Although this is just their first title, their recent strong rise shows that BetBoom will likely continue to win the championship in Bangkok.

Besides, Team Falcons and Team Liquid are always in the group of bright candidates in every tournament this year. The Falcons, despite their sometimes inconsistent performance, are still the most successful team in terms of number of championships. Liquid, despite a recent member change when Neta “33” Shapira made way for Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek, is still this year's The International (TI) champion.

PARIVISION is also a notable name as it has continuously been in the Top 4 at all tournaments they participated in over the past few months. This team has created many surprises, and ESL One Bangkok could be the playground for them to truly shine.

Although the strength of these four teams is quite equal, they still outperform other opponents in recent tournaments. BetBoom, Falcons, Liquid, and PARIVISION will be safe choices for fans.
Competing teams: Team Spirit, AVULUS, Gaozu, Natus Vincere
Although not the top candidates, Team Spirit, AVULUS, Gaozu, and Natus Vincere (NAVI) are still strong teams that can win at ESL One Bangkok.

Team Spirit is in a transition period as it integrates new members Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov and Aleksandr “rue” Filin, but remains a formidable opponent.
AVULUS is a rising team in the harsh Western European region, making opponents wary.
Gaozu represents the hope of Chinese Dota 2 as they are struggling to find their place on the world map.
NAVI, with a new lineup from PuckChamp, hopes to revive its legendary brand. Fans in Thailand will definitely cheer passionately for this team.
Interesting unknowns: BOOM Esports, Shopify Rebellion, M80, Nigma Galaxy
Finally, there are teams like BOOM Esports, Shopify Rebellion, M80, and Nigma Galaxy. Even though they are not highly rated, they still have the ability to create surprises, as evidenced by passing the regional qualifiers to reach Bangkok.

BOOM Esports and M80 (formerly beastcoast) both just changed their lineups after TI, so the initial difficulty is understandable.

Shopify Rebellion will have its first LAN tournament with a new lineup from September.

Nigma Galaxy always brings exciting matches, although it is difficult to expect them to achieve good results.
Although the possibility of competing for the podium is quite low, these teams can create a few surprises. Fans should look forward to exciting performances in Bangkok, which promise to be a stepping stone for them to go further next year.
