Cerberus Esports bid farewell to its entire squad and withdrew from League of Legends Vietnam
Information about Cerberus Esports saying goodbye to the entire squad was announced after rumors of Cerberus Esports withdrawing from League of Legends Vietnam. Previously at the end of October, the VCS English page posted the news: "According to VCS English sources, Cerberus has paused plans for its LoL team. Changes in tournament organization, opportunities and team selection of Riot has not convinced Cerberus to continue investing for 2025".
In the 2024 season, Cerberus Esports with a young squad was unable to win the right to enter the Play-offs in both Spring and Summer. In March, Cerberus Esports had 4 players investigated for suspicion of VCS match-fixing: Pun, Ikigai, Richard I and Slowz. However, in the end, Ikigai was the only player to receive a 24-month ban from Riot Games.
In the next 2025 season, VCS will merge with the PCS, LJL and LCO regions to become the APAC region with the LCP tournament. Among them, Vietnam has one representative, GAM Esports, who will become the only partner of the tournament, Team Whales and Vikings Esports will be two guest teams. However, information about the VCS tournament has not yet been announced, which has caused many rumors that Vietnamese organizations are gradually withdrawing from League of Legends, including Cerberus Esports.
